This episode opens up with Muraki talking to an old high school friend named Oriya. You mean to tell me that Muraki actually left someone alive? Now Oriya showed his face in two prior episodes, but since his role was so minor, I didn’t bother to talk about him until now.

Muraki gives Oriya a key card to stall the shinigamis who will come looking for him, not only to kick his ass, but to get Tsuzuki back. And speaking of our favorite death gods, let’s check in on them right now to see if they’re making any progress.

Watari checks all the hotels in town, but Muraki is nowhere to be found. Eventually they track down Oriya, and demand that he tell him where Tsuzuki is. Oriya tells them that Tsuzuki is in the basement of the University, but they’ll need a key card to get in.

One of them will have to fight Oriya to get the key card, and Hisoka takes up the challenge. What? How is a 16 year old kid a match for this guy? So now they’re fighting with swords, but Hisoka looks like he’s on the defensive. All the sudden, he takes a couple of hits, but since he can’t die, there’s no reason to worry.

Oriya eventually puts his sword down, and admits defeat. This is interesting, considering the fact that I don’t remember Hisoka laying a hand on this guy. So they take the key card, and head over to the University to rescue Tsuzuki.

Well they better hurry up, because Muraki is about to conduct his head transplant on Tsuzuki. Imagine that, a head transplant, have you ever heard of such a thing? Well I really don’t think that’s gonna happen, since Tsuzuki gets free and stabs Muraki. Now why in the hell didn’t he do that a few episodes ago?

But Tsuzuki isn’t finished yet. Since he still feels guilty for the people Muraki killed, he decides to die also, and unleashes the flame of the serpent to destroy the two of them. But you know Muraki is a snake, and he’s not gonna die so easily.

Tatsumi wants to honor Tsuzuki’s decision to take his own life, but there’s no way in the world Hisoka is gonna let that happen. He breaks free from Watari, and goes charging into the flames to beg Tsuzuki not to leave him alone. Oh brother, I always knew Hisoka was nothing but a big cry baby. But hey, Tsuzuki decides to live, so guess Hisoka knew what he was doing.

However, the basement is burning down around them, so Tatsumi uses the shadow vacuum to rescue them but you don’t get to see him use it.

So my favorite shinigami lives, and everyone visits him in the hospital. As this series comes to an end, I must say I’m gonna miss those guys. While I would have liked to have seen more fighting from Tsuzuki, instead of him emotionally falling to pieces like that, how can you not love that guy? I’m gonna miss that dude!

Now this episode starts out good, but gets kind of weird later on, you’ll see what I’m talking about, just keep reading. In the meantime, lets catch up with Mariko who’s got the hottest shinigamis watching over her to protect her from Muraki.

Only thing is, she still thinks they are trying to kill her. “LOOK YOU DUMB CHICK! You’ve got 4 bishies giving you all this…….Wait, did I say 4, I meant 3. Hisoka is just cute, he’s not really a bishie. Anyway where was I? Oh yeah, “You’ve got 3 bishies giving you all this attention, enjoy it dammit!”

“And while you’re at it, get a couple of phone numbers ok?” Next scene, Tsuzuki is teaching a history class, but he’s talking a little too much, and starts leaking information about his immortal status. Hisoka slams him in the head with a book in order to shut him up, and the class loves it…………………..

I admit that was kind of hilarious. Okay, let’s move on to the weirder stuff. Muraki has in his possession a head. Yes, a human head, look I knew this dude was psycho, but wait ’till I tell you the whole story. Through a flashback we find out that Muraki has a half brother named Saki.

Apparently, they didn’t get along and Saki killed the parents, and tried to kill Muraki, until somebody kills him first. Somehow, Muraki got a hold of the head, and plans to transplant it to Tsuzuki’s body, so that he can kill Saki over and over. Huh? Does that any sense to you, ’cause I’m clueless.

But then again, we are talking about Muraki, who’s a complete psychopath, and he continues to prove it by killing Dr. Satori after he gets his help in kidnapping Mariko. Wait, how does Mariko get kidnapped with 4 shinigamis watching over her? Muraki is also able to play mind games with Tsuzuki, as he tries to find out if he was ever human.

How in the hell can he be human if he’s a shinigami? Wait, isn’t Ichigo from Bleach a shinigami? Oh no, I forgot, he’s a poser shinigami, but he’s human so I guess it’s possible. Only thing is, Tsuzuki can’t die, and hasn’t died in a long time. Okay, I understand this, but with only one episode left, who really cares?

So Tsuzuki and Hisoka are at a bar, and Tsuzuki is getting drunk as a skunk. What a fool, can’t he see that Muraki is just messing with his head? Anyway, Tsuzuki is on the verge of having a nervous breakdown, boy what a sap!

After this huge dramatic scene, Mariko is found laying in a gutter somewhere, and is taken to the hospital. Tsuzuki stays in her room as a bodyguard, but Muraki is able to cast some kind of a spell on Mariko to turn her into a centipede. Yuk! I hate those things!

Tsuzuki gets slapped around, ’cause he won’t attack her, but the phoenix (One of Tsuzuki’s spiritual posse) comes out, and destroys Mariko. This devastates him, and he passes out. You know, Tsuzuki is lucky that I’m not his boss, ’cause I’d fire his ass right about now!

And how many people have died around Tsuzuki when he’s supposed to be protecting them? Anyway, Muraki carries him off for this great experiment. Will he succeed?

In the last episode we find out that underneath Tsuzuki’s playful nature, he’s nothing but an emo. 72 years ago, he tried to end his life, with no luck. If you’re looking for a reason why, you won’t find out in this episode, so we’ll just have to wait.

Watari tells Tsuzuki that he’s got more information on Muraki, which leads him to look for Dr. Satomi. Only thing is, Watari gets lost, and a couple of girls had to help him out. “C’mon Watari, I thought you knew your way around Kyoto?”

So they land on the doorsteps of Dr. Satomi, who acts dumb when Tsuzuki starts asking him questions. Who knows, maybe it’s not an act, but he’s smart enough not to leak any information about Muraki. However, after he slams the door on the guys, he’s astonished to find out that Tsuzuki is still alive after 72 years.

Hmmmm, I wonder if Satomi is gonna clone Tsuzuki, ’cause if he is, I’ll be the first in line for my copy! Since the shinigami gang walked away with no information at all, Tsuzuki decides to wait for Muraki to make the next move.

“Oh I get it, you’ll just wait for Muraki to kill someone else before you’ll do anything. Yeah, great plan Tsuzuki, I could have thought of that myself.” Later that night, Hisoka and Tsuzuki decide to have a little fun at this festival, and Tsuzuki behaves like a immature brat.

They run into the two girls that helped them out earlier. Tsuzuki tries to win a prize for them at the shooting range, but can’t hit the target to save his life.

“Damn Tsuzuki, what in the hell is wrong with you? You can’t shoot this toy bear, and you can’t kill Muraki, what are you good for then?” Fortunately Hisoka gets it on the first try, so the girls get their bear.

The two girls leave, and as a result of bad luck run into Muraki, who’s about to kill one of them. Oh well, she’s not the main character in this series anyway, so who cares? Tsuzuki hears screams, so he and Hisoka go to check things out, and ends up face to face with Muraki and his dangerous vultures.

Muraki blames Tsuzuki for the girl’s death, and now he’s filled with guilt. Uh oh, should we put him on suicide watch? “Tsuzuki, you better get your act straight, ’cause you’re the only one powerful enough to defeat that fool!”

Well we don’t have to wait on Tsuzuki, ’cause Tatsumi dropped in to teach Muraki some manners! I would have loved to show you screenshots of the fight, but unfortunately it was too damn dark, and the pictures didn’t come out right.

Tatsumi kills Muraki’s vultures and takes a swipe at him as well. As you can see Muraki took a good hit, but damn, the dude is still standing and eventually gets away, again!

The next day Watari decides to go back to Dr Satomi to get him to talk, but he’s not budging. Watari lets him read the paper about the murders in Kyoto, and now Satomi knows that Muraki is a murderer. You mean he didn’t know that before?

Now that one girl is dead (at least in this episode), Tsuzuki swears to protect the other girl named Mariko. So all of our favorite shinigamis get jobs as teachers in her school. And her classmates just love it (look at the picture above)!

Mariko is scared that they’ll try to kill her, ’cause she’s such a dumbass. All those fine bishies hovering around her, maybe she should get some glasses. Only thing is, who’s dumb enough to believe that Hisoka is a teacher when he looks like a teenager?
