GAKUEN HEAVEN-HEAVEN’S DOOR-EPISODE 5-3 1/2 STARS

……..and speaking of Tonosama the cat, not only did he chew up Shinomiya’s toothbrush, but he’s missing again, but who cares? Obviously everyone does since Shichijo made him a collar with a transmitter embedded in it, to keep track of his whereabouts. Okay, now I’ve heard everything.

Keita, Endo and the others follow the signal to a boarded up place somewhere on campus. They remove the board and find a creepy stairway. “That’s okay guys, you go on down there, and I’ll stay here behind the computer where I should be.” So they run down the stairs and find a door with a lot of graffiti on it, saying things like, “Entering will be the last thing you do.” and “A road to either heaven or hell.”

Now Keita (being the scardey-cat that he is) would like to turn back, but Umino isn’t scared. After all, it is his cat, and I’m sure he wants him back. Only thing is, the door won’t open, so Naruse goes and gets Shinomiya who has the master key. Kaoru just happens to be there, so he comes along too, and…..wait a minute, “Naruse, CAN YOU PLEASE GET YOUR HAND OFF OF KEITA’S SHOULDER BEFORE ENDO BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!”

Okay where was I? Oh yeah, so Shinomiya unlocks the door, Umino opens it, out jumps Tonosama, and the door slams shut. Only thing is, Naruse and Shinomiya are on the other side of it, checking things out. Kaoru tries to open the door back up to get the others out, but it won’t budge. Uh oh, should I call 911?

The king shows up, and with all his strength, is able to open the door all by himself, but not without a heavy strain. So the king and Kaoru go in to find the others, and tells Endo and Keita to stay behind and keep the door open. But we all know Keita is a weak fool, and has a hard time keeping the door from closing.

Shunsuke startles them by rushing in, looking for The King, and because of that, Keita and Endo let go of the door. “Good going guys, now what?” So now we have the three of them trying to open that damn door, and they’re having no luck. “What’s wrong with you dudes? Do I have to get on a plane, and come all the way over there to open it for you?”

Shunsuke goes for help, and comes back with Iwai, the president of the art club? What in the hell can he do? Now instead of trying to open the door, Shunsuke starts analyzing the condition of the paint, are you kidding me?

Nakajima shows up on the scene and is miraculously able to open the door. Everyone goes flying in except he and Endo, and once again the door slams shut behind them. Nakajima leaves, like he doesn’t give a damn, and Endo wigs out, wondering if Keita will be all right. Maybe he’s really worried that Naruse will try to steal a kiss from Keita, I don’t know.

Meanwhile Keita and the others are in this crawlspace that leads them to an opening above. Iwai goes first, but doesn’t come back. Shunsuke goes next, and he too doesn’t come back, but sends Keita a text message telling him don’t come up there. But why can’t he go up there? He can’t go back the other way because the door won’t open, remember?

Keita finally gets some guts, and crawls out of the hole anyway. Is death waiting for him on the other side? No, its the female staff, and they are totally pissed off! They also have all of my gorgeous gakuen guys sitting on a bench, looking stupid. “That’s right girls, shake that finger in their faces and tell them they’re a bunch of perverts!” Yeah, I know they’re not the ones who dug that hole, but it’s nice to see them get scolded anyway.
