NARUTO-IDENTIFY YOURSELF, POWERFUL NEW RIVALS-EPISODE 21-3 STARS

In episode 20, this ugly dude named Konkuro tried bullying Konohomaru, but Gaara stopped him. Well, Sasuke stopped him with a rock, but Gaara jumped in to prevent a fight. Sakura doesn’t like the fact that these guys are in her village, possibly uninvited and demands answers.

“Sakura, you better watch what you say, they could body slam you, and that would be the end of your character for the rest of the series.” But they’re nice enough to tell her they’re in town for the Chunin exams, but Naruto and the gang don’t know anything about it….yet.

Kakashi selects his group for the exams, wait a minute! Now I can understand picking Naruto and Sasuke, but Sakura? No way! Both Asume and Kurenai recommend everyone in their group. Now I don’t know a lot about these other guys, so this should be pretty interesting to watch.

Iruka has issues with this, and doesn’t think that any of them are ready to take this test, so the Hokage decides to hold a preliminary test for them all. Awww, Iruka acts just like an overly-concerned parent, and an annoying one. Now this test ends up being a stupid one, and I’ll tell you why a little later.

Next scene, Kakashi meets the gang, and gives them their application forms so they can participate in the Chunin exams. Oh no, here goes Naruto, fantasizing about beating the pants off everybody and becoming Hokage.

And we see that Sasuke would like a shot at Gaara. Please. Gaara would own Sasuke, so he needs to get his head out of his ass. I’m telling you, I’ve never seen anyone more pompous than that kid. But then again, some of the guys at the chunin exams are also unbearable, so Sasuke may have some competition there.

Now in order to see if rookies are ready for the exam, Iruka disguises himself as some freak, and challenges all three teams. They all pass their tests, which are so lame. For example, Iruka throws a illusion at Sakura, and she’s able to recognize it immediately.

Okay, and exactly what is this suppose to prove? And why couldn’t Iruka throw a real rock at her? Hell, I would have. The most important question is, can she fight? We all know that she can’t, so why bother applying? She doesn’t know not one jutsu!

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura show up to submit their applications, and we get a chance to meet Rock Lee. First, he stops Sasuke from getting into a fight, then he tries hitting on Sakura, and of course she’s not interested. See, I think she should go out with him, okay, so he looks like a complete weirdo, but you never know, Sasuke might get jealous.

And speaking of Sasuke, everybody wants to meet him, since he’s from the well known Uchiha clan, and poor Naruto is pissed off that nobody wants to meet him. “Well Naruto, just tell them that you possess the nine tail fox, and you’ll kick all their asses….wait, you may want to keep quiet about that one.
