DESCENDANTS OF DARKNESS-THE KYOTO FILE PART 1-EPISODE 10-3 STARS

I like this episode. Not because of a particular scene, or some spectacular fighting, but because I get a chance to see Watari, and get some awesome screenshots of him, what a hunk! Serial murders are taking place all around Kyoto, so Hisoka, Tsuzuki, and Watari are sent in to investigate.

Watari has a bit of evidence in his hand, a small bag of platinum blond hair left on one of the murder victims. Tsuzuki suspects Muraki, and speaking of him, I wonder what he’s up to?  We find out when he goes wandering into a hospital in search of Dr. Satomi, a guy who specializes in human clones.

Muraki can’t find the guy, so he stops at the nurse’s station to ask for directions. When he leaves, the ladies start wiggin’ out, talking about how gorgeous, and wonderful Muraki is, and blah, blah blah.

Those nurses really need to put their eyeballs back in their sockets, I mean Muraki is all right looking, but Tsuzuki and Watari are way better looking than that guy. Anyway, the three musketeers are walking along, trying to find the hotel, and Tsuzuki can’t wait to take a hot bath.

He asks Hisoka if he can wash his back, and as you can see by his expression, he’s really not interested. “Tsuzuki, don’t you realize that Hisoka is probably still in love with Princess Tsubaki, which means you really aren’t his type.”

Watari is able to do DNA testing (in a hotel room?), and finds out that the strands of hair match Muraki to a tee, so now where do they find him? Well, Hisoka won’t have to look far as he runs into him on the way back from the grocery store.

Oh my goodness, it looks like Muraki has just killed another woman, and now there’s blood all over him. See, this is why Tsuzuki should have taken that dude out on the boat when he had the chance.

Hisoka blindly charges, but Muraki is too fast for him. “Good job Hisoka, why would you do something so stupid like that?” Wait, he may not have anything to worry about, ’cause Tsuzuki comes to the rescue.

Muraki will let Hisoka go if Tsuzuki will have a nice dinner with him, so he agrees. “You know Tsuzuki, I really think you like Muraki, this is the third episode where the two of you are either having dinner or wine, why don’t you just waste that guy?”

Over dinner (in which Tsuzuki is not eating), Muraki explains that he left his hair on the murder victim, so that it would be easy for Tsuzuki to find him. However, he won’t reveal why he’s going on a murderous rampage throughout Kyoto. This time Tsuzuki charges, but he’s not having any luck taking Muraki down either. Man, I’m so glad I don’t have to depend on Hisoka or Tsuzuki to protect me from that guy, ’cause I’d probably wind up dead.

Next scene, Muraki goes through his grandfather’s records, and finds out that 72 years ago, Tsuzuki stayed in the hospital for 7 years, no eating, drinking, or sleeping. Can you imagine being around someone like that?

He also finds out that Tsuzuki  eventually committed suicide by slitting his wrists. WHAT? Are you trying to tell me that Tsuzuki is nothing but an emo shinigami? No, the bigger question should be, is Dr. Satomi gonna clone Tsuzuki, and for what purpose?
