NARUTO-WHITE PAST HIDDEN AMBITION-EPISODE 17-3 STARS

This is a good episode, but there’s way too much dialogue dispersed between some awesome fight scenes. Yeah, I know it’s a major problem in anime, but that doesn’t mean I can’t complain about it. Now where did we leave off in episode 16? Oh yeah, Naruto became possessed by the nine tail fox, and now he’s beating the crap out of Haku, knocking him into oblivion, and destroying the mirror jutsu.

Haku’s mask falls off right before Naruto sends him sailing again, and finds out that Haku is the dude that he mistook for a chick back in episode 12. Naruto is a bit stunned by this, but whatever, he knocks Haku out anyway.

Haku is then permitted to tell Naruto this long winded story about his childhood, and how he and Zabuza became friends, but do we really have time for all this? His sad tale is not appropriate for this episode, and I can’t believe that Naruto is just standing there, listening to it.

Naruto better not forget that Sasuke is dead, and it’s all Haku’s fault. Until he makes up his mind what to do, let’s see what Kakashi is up to in his fight with Zabuza. First, he summons an earth style fang pursuit jutsu, and dogs come out of nowhere (well, actually from underground), and attack Zabuza.

But it looks like the big one wants to be his friend, ahhhh isn’t that sweet? Now Kakashi says that he wanted Zabuza to cut him, so that the dogs would smell blood on the blade, but that plan could easily have backfired. “Kakashi, give me a damn break, you could have cut yourself if all you needed was a little blood.”

Now these dogs have the ability to tear Zabuza apart, but Kakashi gets extremely cocky, and decides to unleash his newest creation, the lightning blade jutsu. Will he actually use it, or will he let Zabuza talk him to death? We’ll just have to wait ’till the next episode to find out!
