FRUITS BASKET-A SOLITARY NEW YEAR-EPISODE 9-2 STARS

Tohru and the zodiac gang decide to do some New Years cleaning, and friends Arisa, and Saki join in. Kyo gets pissed off, probably at the wind this time, and Arisa tells him in her own way to shut the hell up.

Kyo shoots back by calling her a dirty bitch. WHAT WAS THAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now you can see in the picture above what Arisa does to him, but I can tell you right now, it’s not enough. If I was there, everybody would be getting a screen shot of me ramming my fist down his throat.

So everybody is trying to do all this cleaning, and Shigure’s stupid and overbearing agent is stalking him, trying to get him to finish the last 500 pages of his book. And when is this due, by the end of the day? Yeah right, good luck lady.

Now Shigure already finished it, but gets bored and decides to have a little fun with her. Next, Yuki and Kyo try to carry this large library case, with the books still on it I might add. Please, Yuki is trying to lift something that huge with his skinny butt? What he needs to do is lift some food to his mouth so he can gain some weight!

Shigure, and his agent try to help, but since she keeps getting on his nerves, he sneaks off, then she follows, leaving Yuki and Kyo to fend for themselves. As you see, they end up dropping  it, and once again Kyo is all pissed off. “Yuki, don’t listen to him, just slap his ass, and go on about your business.”

This is the extent of the comedy in the episode, and then it goes downhill from there. Now there’s this scene where Kyo and Yuki open their sparkling clean bathroom with different reactions. Okay, can someone please tell me why that was thrown in there, what does this have to do with anything?

Yuki tells Tohru that he and the guys will be going back to the Sohma estate to celebrate New Years, and to participate in the zodiac banquet. Yes, this means that she’ll be all alone for 3 whole days, too bad, she’s not a little kid, get over it already.

Saki finds this out, and decides to lay a guilt trip on Kyo and Yuki, who after reacting like a couple of goons, race home to be with Tohru. Boy, what a couple of saps. “Yuki, you really should go to the banquet, ’cause I can tell you right now, you’re not gonna end up with Tohru anyway.”

Like he’s gonna listen to anything I say. Anyway, the two run home, and they find Tohru sitting in front of her mother’s picture with tears in her eyes. Oh brother, she really needs to save it for another day.

I see Shigure is the only sane one in the group, ’cause he goes to the Zodiac banquet anyway, and Momiji is there to greet him, isn’t he so cute?
