Okay, we have a new character added to this series, Eyes Rutherford. Gee, what an interesting first name, don’t you think? Anyway, he’s a 17 year old pianist, but he gained fame for starring in an exotic car commercial. You are kidding, right?
He’s about to come face to face with Ayumu, but first, let’s pop in on him watching an infomercial about steak knives on school property. Okay, so he might fail all his classes, but at least he’ll get by in life as a superb chef!
On national TV, Eyes invites Ayumu to come down to the auditorium to see him, and he complies. Ayumu and Hiyono (aka the stalker) go to visit Eyes, but he gives Ayumu a verbal beat down, telling him he’s nothing but a loser, and in no way does he hold a candle to his brother.
This bothers Ayumu, but I don’t understand why, since this guy doesn’t know him from a hole in the ground. However, it seems like he may have met Kiyotaka (Ayumu’s older brother), but we can’t verify that for sure.
Ayumu, and Hiyona leave, but someone mysteriously leaves tickets to Eyes’s concert, for Ayumu, and he ends up attending. This is a big mistake, I mean why would you go to see some jerk in concert, especially after they just treated you?
So Ayumu, and Hiyona attend the concert, and sitting by his seat is a box with an iris on top of it. Ayumu opens the box, and finds out that it’s a bomb set to go off in three minutes, unless he diffuses it.
Now the bomb maker thinks he so smart, but a million things could have gone wrong with this scenario. Ayumu was the first person to his seat for the concert, but supposed that wasn’t the case? Somebody else could have opened that box, and that would have been the end of them, along with a whole bunch of people.
A Blade Child definitely set this up, no doubt. You know, they really are cursed…….with stupidity. Now the Blade Children believe that Ayumu can save them from the curse, but how is that possible if they’re trying to kill him?
And how can Ayumu “save” them, when he doesn’t even know who they are, and what they’re cursed with? And even if he knew, is he a doctor? A Voodoo King? God? No. He’s just some punk kid with emo hair that lives in the shadow of his brother who has been missing for two years.
Anyway, back to the bomb, and the clock is ticking away. Now anybody in their right mind would be out of there so fast, but Ayumu is having flashbacks on how Eyes called him a loser, and a nobody.
Uh, Hello? Who in the hell has time for a flashback, when there’s a bomb ready to blow in less than 3 minutes? So Ayumu is thinking, and contemplating, as time runs down to just seconds. A smart mouth turtle attached to the bomb tells Ayumu that if he holds on to this stick that’s attached to the bomb, he’ll get 30 more minutes.
The thing is, he can’t let go, or the bomb will go off. Check this out, 30 seconds left, and Ayumu still can’t make up his mind if he wants to do this or not. Are you kidding me? With 30 seconds left, you don’t even have time to breathe, what the hell is he waiting for?
Hiyono, who seems like the only sane one, grabs a hold on the bar. Now Ayumu thinks it was a stupid move, but if she didn’t hold on to it, they would have blown up anyway. With 30 more minutes, they can at least say their final goodbyes and stuff.
With their lives on the line, Hiyono doesn’t even seem to be breaking a sweat, as she has total faith that Ayumu will be able to disarm the bomb. This brings up an interesting question, how can you believe completely in some guy that you’ve only known for 3 episodes?
Ayumu does disarm the bomb, but you’ll have to watch the episode to see how he figures everything out.
