I vacillated between giving this episode 2 1/2 and 3 stars. Since Sword Dancer is so sexy, I decided to cheat a bit, and give it 3 stars. However, I did have a problem with it. Now don’t get me wrong, there’s some pretty good action in it, but that we don’t really find out who Sword Dancer is, all we know is that he’s a traveling priest that goes by the name Father Hugue.

There’s a lot of mystery surrounding Hugue (aka cute guy #5), as the Professor didn’t he think he was the wisest choice to be a deputy officer. So now I assume that Hugue has a huge chip on his shoulder, but why? It would have been nice to have the 411 on him, but his good looks will make all the ladies quickly forget about his past, and concentrate on his physique, which I must say is superb.

In fact it’s so awesome……Wait, what am I supposed to be writing about? Oh yeah, I’m writing a  review, so let me get started……….The Vatican sends Hugue to Amsterdam, to look into a slaughter of the members on the clergy, and we can thank the vampires for that.

A girl nun named Agnus was in the same room where the murders were committed, but she was too busy hiding to see anything. Count Carel (a vampire no less) is feeling the heat, as it’s his job to find out who the culprit is, and all he knows right now is that it’s a group of vampires.

So he sends his brother out to find Agnus, who’s walking down a dark street alone. Okay, that’s pretty stupid, especially since there are murderous vampires still hanging around. So the brother tries to make Agnus come with him, but Hugue shows up, and decides to teach this vampire a lesson.

Now it’s so damn dark, you can’t really see much, nor can you see Hugue’s face, but trust me, I’m sure he was the guy that owned the vampire. Carel finds out about this, and is totally pissed off. So he sends in his goons in to kidnap Agnus.

You know Sword Dancer isn’t gonna stand by and see her get taken away, so he comes along too. Agnus is hooked up to some device that can retrieve memories, and Carel finds out that a vampire crony by the name of Memling is responsible for the murders. Okay, so now Agnus is free to leave, but they decide to throw Hugue to the wolves, or shall I say the wolf.

Now Hugue has to battle this huge Lycanthrope, which is getting some good licks in, and if it wasn’t for Agnus, there would be no more Sword Dancer, so I have to give kudos to her. She throws Hugue this special stick, now I’m not sure exactly what it does, all I know is that it can slice and dice, and Hugue really needs it right now.

Hugue owns the wolf, and once again Carl is pissed off, and stabs Agnus right through the heart. Oh well, you can’t live forever I always say. Now that Hugue gave that wolf a good beat down, he then goes after the vampires and kills them too.

Only thing is, we never find out if he got Memling, the vampire who’s responsible for the whole mess. In the last scene, Agnus is revived, which is kind of interesting, since she took a pretty good stab through the heart. But she’s okay, however Father Hugue is gone.
