TRINITY BLOOD-WITCH HUNT-EPISODE 2-3 STARS

trinity-blood-episode-2-pic-2.jpg

This episode opens to a gruesome scene, but it’s cartoon blood, so there’s no need to freak out. There are 15 vampire bodies scattered all over the place, too bad, let’s forget about them, and focus on cute guy number two, Tres, (aka Gunslinger). Now Tres is an android priest with an itchy trigger finger. In fact, he needs to diss his priestly garments, and trade them in for a cowboy outfit.

Tres finds a girl amongst the bodies, but she tries to get away, and he starts shooting at her. That’s bad. No, it’s not bad because he’s shooting at her, it’s bad because he keeps missing! Go ahead, call me an evil person, but this girl is the one that’s evil.

Nightroad finds out that this girl’s name is Eris, and she’s a by product of gene manipulation. In other words, she’s a mutant, a freakazoid, a witch. Now the Professor (aka cute guy number 3) states that Eris will be sent to Rome, and detained at the monastery, but Cardinal Caterina has other plans.

This girl Eris is having some major issues right now, and I think she qualifies as being a full blown emo. She’s neither human, or vampire, and when she’s around, everyone starts dying, even her parents tried to get rid of her. But you know how Father Nightroad is, he’s everybody friend, as he reassures Eris that he will be there for her.

The first opportunity that Eris gets, she tries to escape, but Tres starts firing away, but he misses her again! “Damn Tres, what’s wrong with you, maybe you need to be rewired or somethin’, ’cause your accuracy rate sucks!”

Nightroad tries to stop the shooting, then Tres turns on him too. Now its getting good, the cute robot against the cute crusnik, I love it. Nightroad uses a faulty wire to short out Tres, so unfortunately he’ll be out of action for a while.

Some chick vampire poses as a nun to kidnap Eris, and she plans to turn her over to the Rosenkreuz. You do remember what that is, right? Since the Professor has a tracking device, Nightroad is able to find her, but Tres comes crashing through the roof first, blasting away at anything that moves. Yes, I know you thought he was out of commission, but he has an auto repair system, and now he’s back in action.

But damn, an innocent person could get hurt in this whole fiasco, so Tres needs to calm down a little. Now while he looks for Eris, it’s Crusnik time for Nightroad, so everybody better just stay out of his way while he owns this vampire witch real quick.

trinity-blood-episode-2-pic-11.jpg

Hey, wait a minute, Tres tried to kill Eris a few scenes back, so I really don’t think he should be the one to go look for her. Anyway, at the end of the episode, we find out that Tres does have a change of heart, but I wonder where he got it from since he’s not human. Yes, he lets Eris live, by comin’ up with some lame excuse, talkin’ about he’s out of bullets.

But we find out that he’s not, especially when he unloads on the half dead vampire witch, “Damn Nightroad, you mean to tell me that you didn’t finish the job?” Yes, she comes back for one last attack, but thanks to Tres, she’s the one that gets it.

So he lets Eris live, and the last scene, she goes following after Tres, awww how cute. “Hey Eris, can you get either Nightroad’s or Tres’s phone number for me?”

TRINITY BLOOD-FLIGHT NIGHT-EPISODE 1-3 STARS

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-2.jpg

Now this is what I like, another anime series with so many cute guys in it, even the robot Tres is a hottie. Don’t worry, I’ll try to stay focused, especially since I need to get this review out. Let’s talk about cute guy number one, Father Abel Nightroad, a traveling priest for the vatican.

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-1.jpg

Oh, he’s also a blood sucking crusnik, which is a vampire that feeds on other vampires, but I think he tries to keep that a secret, unless a gangster vampire gets on his nerves, and Nightroad has to take him out. You know what I would like to see? Alucard from Hellsing, and Nightroad in a big fight, who do you think will win?

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-3.jpg

Okay, so Nightroad is on the air passenger ship the Tristan, on his way somewhere, but he hasn’t had a bite to eat in over twenty hours. See, I don’t understand this, why is the Vatican trying to starve the poor guy? I guess a better question would be, how is it that Nightroad has the ability to feed on vampires, but can still eat human food?

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-4.jpg

Whatever, anyway, waitress Jessica brings him a cup of milk tea with 13 spoonfuls of sugar, but she spills it on him. To compensate for her klutziness, she offers Nightroad a sandwich, but must get a drink for the captain first.

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-5.jpg

Okay, so all the captains are laughing in the cockpit, having a good ‘ol time, when vampire  Meinz spoils the party by offing everybody, except Jessica. Well, he’ll get around to her, but first he hijacks the ship by inserting a master code into the control panel. Now he’s about to take a chunk out of Jessica’s neck, but Meinz must deal with Nightroad who stumbles into the cockpit to talk to Jessica about the sandwich.

This is interesting, since he could have just sat tight until Jessica returned. Yeah, I know, if Nightroad didn’t go looking for her, she wouldn’t have returned anyway, that’s my whole point! Next scene, Meinz sends a message to the Vatican, he wants his posse from the Fleurs Du Mal (terrorist group) released, or he’s gonna drop the Tristan right on the Vatican.

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-6.jpg

Okay, why am I lookin’ at a boy Pope? You’ve got to be kidding, right? Poor kid, can’t make a decision to save his life, or anyone else’s for that matter. So now we have Cardinal Catherina, and Francesco trying to sway the Pope in their favor.

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-7.jpg

Catherina wants to proceed with caution, Francesco (aka war monger) would like to see the Tristan shot down. After all, why take orders from a gangster vampire? He also thinks that the people aboard the ship would gladly give up their lives. Huh? Now how in the hell would he know, is he up there taking surveys of who would like to die and who wants to live?

The Pope sides with Francesco, and now Nightroad, among all the other passengers aboard the Tristan are in trouble, so let’s get back to them for a minute. He, and Jessica enter the subridge to restore manual control so that she can fly the ship. Meinz once again crashes the party, by trying to take Nightroad out, and they both end up fighting on top of the ship.

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-11.jpg

Okay, now I’ve seen everything. Nightroad is tired of dealing with this vampire thug, and turns into the crusnik to get rid of him once and for all. But before Meinz gets owned, he reveals that Rosenkreuz, an organization that financially backs the Fleurs Du Mal hired him.

“Thanks for that piece of information Meinz, you can die now, bye!” Well, no he’s gone, and Nightroad is back to normal, but how did he get his hair back into a ponytail so quickly? Anyway, he’s back inside the ship, and tells Jessica to cut the engines, and lower altitude in order to dodge the missile that’s headed straight for them.

trinity-blood-episode-1-pic-10.jpg

Tres intercepts the missile, and it explodes into mid air. Don’t worry, I’ll talk more about Tres in the next episode, but right now, Francesco is all pissed off ’cause his bomb didn’t go off, and kill a whole bunch of people. What a jerk, you know, he can go to hell! Oh wait, I forgot, guys like him don’t usually don’t wind up there, do they?
