NARUTO-THE LAND WHERE A HERO ONCE LIVED-EPISODE 11-2 1/2 STARS

naruto-episode-11-pic-3.jpg

This episode focuses more on some dude named Kaisa, Inari’s stepfather. The story about Kaisa is kind of boring, so I had to take off half a star. However, we do find out why Inari is such an emo, so it’s imperative that you watch it, but first, I need to go back a bit several scenes earlier.

Kakashi lets Sakura guard Tazuna at the bridge construction site, since she was successful in her tree climbing. WHAT? Okay, so Sakura was good at focusing her chakra, but the real question is, can she stop somebody from putting their fist through her face?

Tazuna and Sakura go grocery shopping, and some hoodlum tries to steal Sakura’s bag, and she pretty much owned him. “Good job Sakura, now let’s see you do that against a real ninja, then I’ll stop talking about you.” Now someone starts yankin’ on her butt, and Sakura is ready to own another poor slob, but this time, it’s a cute little kid.

Awwwww, who can resist a face like that? Sakura feels sorry for him, and gives him some candy, “What? Since when is a couple pieces of candy gonna keep that kid’s stomach from growling? Don’t you have some McDonald’s gift certificates or somethin’?

naruto-episode-11-pic-1.jpg

Yes, there are a lot of poor people in the village, however Tazuna says that after the bridge is finished, the economy will blossom, and the spirit of the people will be restored, if they can get past Gato that is. Enough of that depressing scene, let’s check in with our heroes Naruto and Sasuke to see how they’re doing with their tree climbing.

Well, they’ll both getting higher and higher, with each trying to outdo the other. Hey, I’m on Naruto’s side, I mean Sasuke may be cuter, but Naruto is way cooler. Later, at the dinner table, Sasuke, and Naruto act like total pigs by wolfing down all the food on their plate, but minutes later, they puke it up.

naruto-episode-11-pic-4.jpg

Now that’s ridiculous, why would you waste food like that? Then the conversation starts about Kaisa, a fisherman who came into Inari’s life, and tried to play hero not only to him, but to the entire village. Only thing is, it eventually backfired, as Gato and his men took over, and executed Kaisa in front of Inari, and all the villagers.

So now Inari is mad at Kaisa, who’s dead, but his anger is misguided. He needs to get pissed off at all those people who just stood around to watch Kaisa get slashed to death. Hey, I like the way I said that, I definitely should take some more psychology classes, and become a therapist, what do you think?

NARUTO-THE FOREST OF CHAKRA-EPISODE 10-3 STARS

Kakashi finally becomes conscious but he’s in bed at Tazuna’s home, suffering from a post traumatic sharingan disorder. Now Kakashi is fully clothed in bed, but I want to know why? “Look Kakashi, I know you’re all that, but it’s kind of stupid to sleep in your outfit. Are those the only clothes that you own?”

Now just think about it folks, do you sleep with your work clothes on when you come home? Next scene, Zabuza comes to with Haku, the poser tracker ninja standing over him. Now Zabuza is all pissed off at Haku for putting him into a temporary death state through the pressure points in his neck which is more vulnerable. Haku responds by saying that it was the only way he could prevent messing up Zabuza’s flawless body.

naruto-episode-10-pic-7.jpg

Okay, now I have to agree with Haku there, Zabuza is kind of sexy, but don’t tell Kakashi that I said that. Now don’t get me wrong, Kakashi is sexy too, but it’s hard for me to give a detailed analysis of his body if I can’t get a glimpse of flesh from time to time.

Laying in the bed, Kakashi’s ninja intuition tells him that Zabuza is still alive, and that tracker ninja poser helped him escape, so now it’s time to prepare Naruto and Co. for the next battle.

naruto-episode-10-pic-4.jpg

All the sudden, this punk kid Inari (Tazuna’s grandson) comes in and starts mouthing off about how our brave ninjas are gonna mess around, and get killed by Gato, the rich gangster. Now Naruto puts this kid in his place by calling him a brat, and telling him he’s gonna be Hokage, and that Gato is no match for him.

naruto-episode-10-pic-5.jpg

Inari fires back by telling Naruto that there’s no such things as heroes and that he’s just full of stupid ideas, and to go back where he came from, then leaves. Naruto follows, probably to slap him around a bit, but then finds Inari crying in his room, so he backs off.

naruto-episode-10-pic-6.jpg

“Yeah Naruto, you better not mess with him, this kid definitely has symptoms of being an emo, so hopefully the mom can get him to a psychiatrist right away. Anyway, next day, Kakashi starts chakra training. Naruto doesn’t really know what chakra is as a result of skipping classes, so Sakura explains in great detail so that he understands.

Not only is she good at explaining chakra, but she can balance and control her chakra to climb a tree with no hands, something Naruto and Sasuke has trouble doing. “Gee Sakura, I’m glad that you can use chakra well, but the bigger question is, can you fight?”

MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA-REMOTE ISLAND SYNDROME PART 2-2 1/2 STARS

melancholy-of-haruhi-suzumiya-episode-11-pic-1.jpg

The last episode ended with a murder, no unfortunately it wasn’t Haruhi, but some rich dude by the name of Keiich, a distant relative of Itsuki. Yutaka, the younger brother of rich guy, is the main suspect, since he was seen arguing with Keiich, and he’s no where to be found.

After witnessing the dead body, Mikuru passes out, “Okay can somebody please tell me why she was invited on this trip?” Anyway, Haruhi decides to start snoopin’ around outside……..in the rain…………in the pouring rain……….in a big ass typhoon………and get this, she’s drags poor Kyon along.

So the two of them are outside trying to find out if Yutaka’s boat is still docked, but they get way too close to the edge of the cliff. Haruhi sees a shadow, maybe the murder suspect, and she goes after it. Hmmm, now I’m interested to find out what she plans to do when she catches up to this person.

Well, I guess I won’t have to worry about that, ’cause of all her intense snoopin’ around, she and Kyon fall off a cliff. But they’re both all right (frown), and they find refuge in a warm cave. Now as they dry off, Haruhi is still trying to figure out this mystery, if Keiich was murdered, why was door locked?

melancholy-of-haruhi-suzumiya-episode-11-pic-4.jpg

Also, his body was still warm when the Brigade found him, which means he was recently killed. But if that’s the case, then Yutaka couldn’t have done it, since it was concluded that he left the island a while ago. Haruhi then realizes that Kyon, Itsuki, and the butler may have killed Keiich when they broke the door down.

In other words, Keiich was stabbed by Yutaka, but he didn’t die right away, he stumbled to the door, and accidentally locked it (Okay, that makes no sense at all, but whatever), and that’s when the gang busted the door in, and Keiich fell on the knife. Haruhi suspecting her friends could be in trouble, decides to stop sleuthing, and agrees to let the police handle it.

Eventually she figures out the murder was staged, a fiasco set up by Itsuki to provide some entertainment. Haruhi goes through all the clues that led up to her being able to crack the case, but now I’m kind of bored, so I’m really not paying any attention to what she’s saying.

The bottom line is, we all know it’s staged, a ploy to keep Haruhi’s boredom at bay. Big deal. You know, Haruhi is nothing but a spoiled brat, if she’s supposed to be a god that we all have to cater to, lest we be annihilated, then we’re all in a bunch of trouble.
