DESCENDANTS OF DARKNESS-EPISODE 3-3 STARS

Now in the last episode, Hisoka was taken hostage by Muraki, and as you can see here, he’s in bad shape. “Yes, Muraki kidnapped Hisoka, then bound him with a special netherworld amulet so that he couldn’t escape. “Hisoka, you better hope Tsuzuki finds you soon, but just in case he doesn’t, do you have any personal belongings that you want me to take off your hands?”

Meanwhile, Tsuzuki continues his search for Hisoka, and decides to pay a visit to Ms. Wong’s evil stepmother to try to get some information. She’s doesn’t reveal anything, but it doesn’t matter, ’cause deep down Tsuzuki knows that Muraki was responsible for Hisoka’s disappearance. Tsuzuki uses the Giving Chase spell to find Muraki, and he ends up at the church where they first met.

While Hisoka is off somewhere being choked to death by some amulet, Muraki take Tsuzuki around town, show him his doll collection, chew the rag over coffee, that sort of thing. “MURAKI, GET OVER IT! Tsuzuki is not interested in you, he just wants to save Hisoka, so can you please stop making an ass of yourself?”

In the next scene, we find out that Muraki is the one responsible for murdering Hisoka a while back by casting a haunting spell over him. Now don’t ask me what that spell entails, ’cause I don’t know, you’ll just have to ask Muraki about that one next time you run into him.

Eventually Muraki gets tired of trying to seduce Tsuzuki, and they both go to where Hisoka is being held, but of course Muraki has no intention of letting them leave, alive. Tsuzuki uses a weak spell on Muraki, who counterattacks with a some bat demons. Tsuzuki counter-counter attacks and knocks those demons out with another spell, but now the place is collapsing.

You know I forgot to tell you that Gushoshin is there also, even though I don’t know why, ’cause he can’t do squat. Nevertheless, he’s there, and is about to be crushed to death as the ceiling falls. Wait, what’s this? Hisoka is able to muster up enough power to create a shield even though he received a pretty good beat down from that netherworld amulet.

Muraki releases some dragon demons from a 5 pointed star (his favorite symbol it seems), and they attack Tsuzuki with fireballs. Then, he goes after Hisoka to try to crack his shield, but Tsuzuki interferes, and takes a hit. “Hey Muraki, I may not be your type, but if you kill everybody, I’ll be the only one left, so how about going out with me? My phone number is 555-KISS-MY-ANIME-BUTT. Make sure you call after 5pm, ’cause I won’t be around ’till then.

By this time Tsuzuki is too weak to do anything on his own, so he uses Hisoka’s body, and they combine their powers to cast a spell that brings forth this wicked fire bird demon that owns those lame ass dragon demons. Muraki is not worried about anything, ’cause he slips away, but I’m sure this is far from over in his eyes.

Anyway, in the last scene, Tsuzuki decides to accept Hisoka as his partner. “Tsuzuki, don’t pick him to be your sidekick, he’s got way too many emotional issues. Look how easy it was for him to get captured by Muraki, you’re probably better off with Gushoshin!” Oh well, I guess he’s not gonna listen to me on this one, but I bet you that Hisoka will get his butt into some more trouble before this series is over.
