You know, Jiro is kind of cute, but I’m telling you right now, that outfit has got to go. C’mon, admit it, doesn’t he look like a red elf in that Halloween Costume? You know who he reminds me of, what’s the name of that Nintendo character, Link, yeah that’s it, a big red Link. Sorry Jiro, but if want to be hard core, you have a lot of work to do, and for starters, try getting rid of that dumb hat! 

You know what, let me give you a run down on some of the characters in this DVD, because if you don’t know anything about these guys, you’re gonna scratch your head during the whole movie. Okay, there is the Red Bloods (humans), the Black Bloods (vampires), and the Old Bloods (vampires over 100 years old).

Then there are those nasty Kowloon Children who look like goons, and can spread their bloodline through humans, and other vampires by just one bite. Anyone bitten by those creatures will be under their control, and eventually killed, so in this movie, you will hear a lot of talk about killing the Kowloon Children.

Now, this is what makes Jiro so important. He is known as the Silver Blade, not only because he has one, but awhile back, he defeated the Kowloon King, the guy (or thing) in which the Kowloon Children emerged. Okay, now into the movie, lets skip a little to the good stuff, Jiro is kicking some major Kowloon butt, when  images of his dead girlfriend appear inside his mind.

What? Well, she is dead, what do you want me to say? All right, her name is Alice, and she will appear off and on through the DVD series, but she’s dead, so my question is, why should we care? The writers could have gave that spot to somebody else, someone’s who’s a least alive for Pete’s Sake, oh well, whatever.

Then, some vampire by the name of Cassandra attacks Jiro-now she used to be good friends with him, and Alice, but she betrayed them, and now Alice is dead, boo-hoo. Now, in the first four episodes, it’s never revealed in any detail what happened, so I’m completely in the dark until I see the next 4 installments.

So Jiro, and Cassandra duke it out for a hot five minutes, but she gets away. Next scene, Jiro, and Kotaro stowaway on a ship-Jiro is sleeping right now, while Kotaro hangs out on the upper deck. Wait, Kotaro, didn’t Jiro tell you to stay put, and not to show your face on the upper deck since you two snuck aboard?

Now when I first saw this kid, I was like, “Please tell me he’s not the other Black Blood Brother”, but unfortunately he is. Kotaro is Jiro’s younger brother, and he’s nothing but one big pest. First of all, he’s too short, and second, he can’t fight worth a damn, and third, he’s always getting into trouble, so it delighted me to no end, when Jiro woke up and smacked his ass all over that ship.

Actually, it was the Suppression Team that gave Jiro his early morning wake up call by bombing the hell out of the ship. Oh yeah, let me tell you about this Team-they are a group of soldiers hired to kill Kowloon Children, and to keep unwanted vampires out of the Special Zone.

I didn’t clue you in on the Special Zone, did I? Too bad, you’ll have to wait until I post the second episode before I go into details, but let me finish with this-the Suppression Team must have received a tip from somewhere, because now, they’re trying to kill everyone on the ship.

They believe all on board are Kowloon Children, including Jiro, so the Team try to pump him full of holes, but they should know better than to go up against one of the most powerful vampires around. Jiro gives them the hand, well its called the Hide Hand, in order to stop the bullets in mid air.

Well that’s great Jiro, I know you needed to save your skin, but since most Kowloon Children can also use this power, the Suppression Team will never believe that you’re not one of them. What are you going to do? Stay tuned for Episode 2!
